Quality Policy

Quality Policy

Precision You Can Measure. Quality You Can Trust.

At TDB Hanoi, quality is not only a final inspection activity. It is a controlled process that begins with understanding customer requirements and continues through material verification, manufacturing, inspection, documentation, and delivery.

As a precision manufacturing partner serving customers across global markets, we are committed to delivering CNC machined components and manufacturing solutions that consistently meet agreed drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and customer expectations.

Our Quality Management System is built around ISO 9001:2015 principles, process control, accountability, traceability, risk awareness, and continuous improvement.

Our Quality Commitment

TDB Hanoi is committed to:

Meet Customer Requirements

We carefully review customer drawings, specifications, materials, tolerances, quality requirements, and other applicable technical requirements before and throughout production.

Our objective is clear: manufacture the right part, to the agreed requirements, consistently.

Control Quality Throughout Production

Quality is managed throughout the manufacturing process rather than relying only on final inspection.

Our quality control activities may include:

Incoming Material Verification → First-Part / Initial Inspection → In-Process Inspection → Final Inspection → Documentation & Release

Inspection requirements are determined according to the component, drawing, critical characteristics, customer requirements, and agreed quality plan.

Maintain Reliable Measurement

TDB Hanoi uses appropriate inspection and precision measurement equipment to verify dimensional and geometric requirements.

Our inspection capabilities include CMM, VMM, and conventional precision measuring equipment appropriate to the characteristics being inspected.

Measurement and inspection activities are performed according to defined requirements to support reliable and repeatable manufacturing quality.

Maintain Traceability & Quality Records

Where required by the customer or project, TDB Hanoi supports appropriate manufacturing and quality documentation to provide visibility throughout the production process.

Depending on agreed requirements, documentation may include:

  • Inspection records
  • Dimensional measurement results
  • Material information
  • Production and lot identification
  • Traceability information
  • Non-conformance records
  • Corrective-action documentation
  • Other customer-specific quality records

Documentation requirements should be identified during the RFQ or order review stage so they can be incorporated into the manufacturing and inspection process.

Quality Control Throughout the Manufacturing Process

1. Requirement & Drawing Review

Quality begins before machining starts.

Our engineering and production teams review available customer requirements, including:

  • 2D drawings
  • 3D CAD data
  • Drawing revisions
  • Material specifications
  • Dimensional tolerances
  • Geometric requirements
  • Surface finishing requirements
  • Critical characteristics
  • Inspection requirements
  • Required quality documentation

Where requirements are unclear or additional information is needed, we seek clarification before proceeding with the affected manufacturing activities.

This helps reduce misunderstanding, prevent avoidable defects, and establish a controlled production process from the beginning.

2. Incoming Material Verification

Materials and incoming items are verified according to applicable project requirements before they are released for production.

Verification may include:

  • Material type or specification
  • Quantity
  • Identification
  • Condition
  • Supplier documentation where required
  • Customer-specific material requirements

Where material certification or additional traceability is required, this should be specified as part of the project requirements.

3. First-Part & In-Process Inspection

Production quality is monitored during manufacturing to identify potential variation before it affects an entire production batch.

Depending on the part and agreed control requirements, inspections may verify:

  • Critical dimensions
  • Diameters and bores
  • Hole positions
  • Threads
  • Geometric characteristics
  • Machined features
  • Surface requirements
  • Other drawing-defined characteristics

First-part and in-process verification help establish process confidence and maintain consistency during repeat production.

4. Final Inspection

Finished components are inspected against applicable drawings, specifications, and agreed acceptance requirements before release.

Final inspection may include dimensional measurement, visual inspection, geometric verification, and other customer-defined requirements.

Products are released for packing and delivery after the required inspection activities have been completed and applicable acceptance requirements have been satisfied.

Precision Measurement & Inspection

Accurate manufacturing requires reliable measurement.

TDB Hanoi supports dimensional and geometric inspection using equipment appropriate to the required characteristics, including:

CMM Inspection

Coordinate Measuring Machine capability supports the verification of dimensional and geometric characteristics for precision machined components.

VMM Inspection

Vision Measuring Machine capability supports non-contact measurement of appropriate features and components.

Precision Measurement Equipment

Additional measurement equipment is used throughout production for first-part, in-process, and final inspection according to manufacturing and quality requirements.

The inspection method is selected according to the part geometry, tolerance, characteristic, and agreed customer requirements.

Independent Third-Party Inspection

For projects requiring additional verification, TDB Hanoi can cooperate with customer-approved independent third-party inspection organizations, subject to prior agreement regarding scope and requirements.

Third-party inspection may be arranged according to:

  • Customer purchase order requirements
  • Quality agreements
  • Project-specific inspection requirements
  • Applicable standards or contractual requirements

The inspection scope, acceptance criteria, timing, documentation, responsibilities, and associated costs should be agreed before the relevant inspection stage.

Third-party inspection provides customers with an additional level of independent verification where required, while TDB Hanoi remains responsible for maintaining its own manufacturing and quality control processes.

Non-Conformance & Corrective Action

When a non-conformance is identified, our objective is not simply to separate the affected product. We seek to understand the issue and reduce the risk of recurrence.

Depending on the nature of the issue, our process may include:

Identify → Contain → Investigate → Correct → Verify → Improve

Corrective actions may involve review of:

  • Manufacturing processes
  • Machine setup
  • Tooling
  • Inspection methods
  • Work instructions
  • Material conditions
  • Human factors
  • Supplier processes
  • Other relevant causes

For repeat and long-term production programs, lessons learned can be incorporated into future production and quality controls to support greater consistency.

Supplier & External Process Quality

Quality requirements do not end when a component leaves a CNC machine.

Where projects involve externally supplied materials, surface finishing, heat treatment, fabrication, or other supporting processes, TDB Hanoi works to communicate applicable technical and quality requirements to relevant suppliers and service providers.

Incoming or externally processed items may be verified according to agreed project requirements before proceeding to the next manufacturing or delivery stage.

This helps TDB Hanoi provide customers with a more controlled manufacturing and supply chain solution.

Customer-Specific Quality Requirements

Different industries, applications, and customers may require different levels of quality control and documentation.

TDB Hanoi can review project-specific requirements such as:

  • Special inspection requirements
  • Defined critical characteristics
  • Customer inspection plans
  • Material documentation
  • Dimensional inspection reports
  • Traceability requirements
  • Customer or third-party inspection
  • Specific packaging and identification requirements

These requirements should be communicated during the RFQ and technical review stage so they can be evaluated and incorporated into the quotation and manufacturing plan where applicable.

Continuous Improvement

Quality is a continuous process.

TDB Hanoi is committed to improving our manufacturing and quality management system through:

  • Process monitoring
  • Analysis of non-conformities
  • Corrective actions
  • Production feedback
  • Customer feedback
  • Employee training
  • Standardization
  • 5S practices
  • Preventive thinking
  • Continuous improvement activities

Our goal is not only to meet the requirements of an individual order, but to build more stable and reliable manufacturing processes over time.
