WHAT IS SHAFTS?
CNC machining shafts are an importance component in many types of equipment. Shafts are one of the most typical machine parts, refers to a rotating element whose length is larger than diameter, the cross section is usually circular, the machined surface generally comes in inner and outer cylindrical surface, conical surface, thread, spline, groove and transverse hole.
Shafts are usually made through a process called turning. This is done by introducing rods of material held in the chuck and rotating while a tool is inserted into the piece to remove material and create the part. TDB machinists have over 10 years of experience with the turning process and have optimized many of the operations required to manufacture your custom shaft.
